Question:

When you call transaction MBBS (“Valuated Sales Order and Project Stock”), only the description of the WBS element is available for selection. Is it possible to also select the material description?

Answer:

No. This function (displaying the material short text) is not provided in the standard system.
If, in transaction MBBS, you want to display the material short text for a certain material, the fastest way is to navigate to the stock overview (shift + F2).

Question:

In Customizing, you made settings in relation to how the system is to determine the price when you use valuated sales order stock. Despite this, it is not possible to see how the system determines the price.

Answer:

The Customizing settings for the valuation variants of goods receipts are relevant only for materials with a moving average price control. If the material is managed with a standard price, the system determines the standard price for valuated sales order stock and valuated project stock in accordance with the following predefined strategy sequence:

  1. Standard price from the valuation table EBEW/QBEW, that is, “Value from Make-to-Order Stock Segment” if the EBEW/QBEW segment exists already
  2. Standard price in accordance with the CUSTOMER exit COPCP002 “Material valuation of valuated sales order stock”
  3. Standard price in accordance with sales order costing or the order BOM cost estimate
  4. Standard price in accordance with the preliminary costing for the production order, process order or product cost collector; costing of the WBS element for engineer-to-order
  5. Standard price in accordance with the entry in the material master record of the collective requirements inventory

If a corresponding value does not exist, the system skips to the next strategy in each case.
Additional information provided in January 2004:
If none of the above strategies is used, the system uses the standard price from the valuation table MBEW, that is, “Value from Make-to-Stock Inventory”.

For more information, refer to the documentation for the function module CK36_STANDARD_PRICE_GET.

The “Val. Strat. for Current Plan Price, Sales Order/Proj. Stock” data field LBWST in the valuation tables EBEW and QBEW contains the strategy that was used to determine the price.

LBWST Strategy
1 Value from Product Cost Estimate for Sales Order
2 Value from Production Order Cost Estimate
3 Value from Make-to-Stock Inventory
4 Value from Make-to-Order Stock Segment
5 Value from Unit Cost Estimate for Sales Order
6 Value from User Exit
7 Value from Unit Cost Estimate for WBS Component
8 Value from Cost Estimate for a Configurable Material
9 Value from Production Lot Cost Estimate
